The purpose of the Society shall be to promote the preservation of covered wooden truss bridges, to gather and record knowledge of their history, and to collect and preserve pictures, printed, and manuscript materials, and other items of historical or antiquarian interest pertaining to them.

The Society publishes Topics, a quarterly containing research articles about covered bridges past and present. The quarterly newsletter keeps members informed of society events and covered bridge news. The Fall 2011 newsletter was posted on January 23rd.

Each year the Society holds six meetings including our annual meeting in October. The meetings are held in various locations throughout New England. The next meeting will be March 25th at MoeJoe's Restaurant, 2175 Candia Road, Manchester, NH. Join us for lunch at noon if you wish. The meeting starts at 1:00.
